Our practice

Why we started Base Legal

We started Base Legal as an independent practice of advocates in Bengaluru. We act as legal advisors, not only as court representatives. We give practical advice that fits each client’s situation.

We do all our work in-house. We do not outsource drafting to outside agencies. Every matter is built on careful legal research, proper preparation and personal attention. Client information is kept confidential.

We appear before the City Civil and Sessions Courts, Commercial Courts, Family Courts, Special Courts (NDPS and PMLA), tribunals such as DRT, NCLT, K-RERA, KAT, KSAT and CAT, Consumer Commissions, and the High Court of Karnataka. We also advise companies on IT contracts, data protection under the DPDP Act, 2023 and AI governance.

Guru Prasad G

Co-Founder & Managing Partner · Advocate

Mr. Guru Prasad holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. He works on intellectual property (IP) law, contract drafting, patent filing and company incorporation. He brings a research-based and analytical approach to legal problems.

With his background in science and technology, he handles matters involving technology, innovation and business law. He assists clients with IP protection, legal documentation, regulatory compliance and corporate structuring for individuals, startups and businesses.

Ashik Sargur Mallesh is an advocate in Bengaluru. He brings 17 years of technology industry experience to his legal practice, which shapes his work on contracts, data protection and technology-related disputes.
